A family day in Keelung

This was one of the first nice days since September so we thought we would get out and go on a little family trip to Keelung. We went to a bakery, and ate our lunch at the harbor. Then we walked around trying to find different places to see the ocean, but ended up just wandering around meandering on towards Nick's school. We stumbled across a fun little alley like neighborhood. It's hard to describe, and unfortunately we didn't get any pictures, but it was very Taiwan. We also walked up a bunch of steps to go check out a temple, but it was under construction/renovation, and we couldn't go all the way up. We did find an interesting little park though. All in all it was a fun day of mini-adventures.
This picture isn't very good, but it marks an important day for me. You can barely see me in the distance, and as you can see I'm talking to someone, and that's right, I was speaking Chinese. It was a simple conversation, but it was a big moment for me.
My cute boy checking out the boats.
The temple and the infamous steps.
Half-way there was a small temple.
It got us excited to make it to the top...what a teaser
